- College: Virginia Tech, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.
- Graduate school at the Medical College of Georgia's Physical Therapy Graduate Program, rated #37 in the nation; graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy degree in 1996.
- Six months of internships which included pediatrics, acute care/geriatrics and orthopedics specialties.
- Licensed Physical Therapist at Jefferson Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA, in acute care, geriatrics and orthopedics.
- Married for 20 years to Robert
- 2 children, 18 and 7 years
- lived in Virginia (Alexandria, Fairfax and Manassas), and Georgia (Augusta), and have been back in Pittsburgh for 10 years.
- Trained in New Jersey for 1 week under the direction of two professional child proofers, who have been in the business for 10 years and founded the International Association of Child Safety - of which Babyproofing Pittsburgh is a member.
- Became Certified in Child Proofing and founded Safe House in 2000.
- Name changed to Babyproofing Pittsburgh in 2003.
- Have childproofed many homes in the Pittsburgh area since starting business.
- Love my job - rewarding, enjoyable, flexible, a lot of work but still love it; as a perk, I get to meet lots of adorable babies and their families.
- I feel like I'm making a positive difference in the lives of many families by helping them make their home environment safer for their child(ren) and providing valuable information to educate them about safety issues at home.
